Many factors are known to produce headaches. Often they may result from a disturbance or interference with the blood flow to and from the brain. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I have noted that minor changes in body physiology can “bring on” a headache.
In a significant number of cases of recurring headaches, there is an involvement with the nerve and blood supply in the neck. Blood vessels that serve the brain regulate blood flow by the process of dilation and constriction, controlled by the balance of nerve impulses. Improper alignment of the neck can upset this balance. Nerve impulses can also be disturbed by muscle spasm and tension in the neck.
Every victim of recurring headaches owes it to themselves to seek the aid of a chiropractor to get checked for subluxations in the neck. It may will be that chiropractic adjustment will put them on the road to recovery.
